Kerry T. Connell, O.D.
Dr. Kerry T. Connell, a Maine native, is originally from Dexter, Maine. He still spends time there in the summer at their family camp. Dr Connell is a graduate of The University of Maine at Orono with a B.A. in Zoology. He received his Doctorate in Optometry from The New England College of Optometry in Boston and was a member of the honor society, Beta Sigma Kappa.
Dr. Connell has been in practice in Saco since 1980.He started there in solo practice and was joined by his wife, Dr. Mary Ellen Connell, in 1990. Together they expanded their scope of practice by adding new technology and great staff.
Dr. Connell is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Maine Optometric Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the MOA.
Dr. Connell is an avid skier (Sugarloafer) and gardener. He enjoys singing, boating, birding, kayaking, hikiing, ping pong and travel in his spare time. He lives In Saco with his wife, Mary Ellen and has two daughters, Emily and Eliza. Emily is married to Matthew Murphy, a Saco native. They have a beautiful daughter, Isabella Rose, who has captured their hearts. Eliza is finishing her education and continues to be a joy in their lives.

Mary Ellen Connell, O.D.
Dr. Mary Ellen Connell has been in practice for 30 years. She practiced for 11 years at Eye Care & Surgery Center of Maine in Portland and the last 19 years at Family Eye Care, P.A. in Saco.
Dr. Connell is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Maine Optometric Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the MOA. Dr. Connell graduated from The University of Maine at Orono with high distinction in Zoology. She received her doctorate degree from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she was the recipient of the Bausch and Lomb Contact Lens Award.
Dr. Connell enjoys gardening at home, cooking, skiing at Sugarloaf, hiking in Arizona, and spending time at the cottage in the summer. She resides in Saco with her husband, Dr. Kerry Connell. She has two daughters, Emily and Eliza, a son-in-law Matthew Murphy and a beautiful grand-daughter, Isabella.
